Work & Travel USA helps U.S. businesses meet their seasonal staffing needs by matching employers seeking short-term, entry-level seasonal staff with international university students seeking work under the J-1 Visa program. Seasonal staff are available for summer, winter and spring seasons and are able to work up to 4 months—longer than U.S. students.

Eligibility
From 18 to 28 years old
Intermediate level of English
Full-time university student at an institution in your native country

Placement areas
Paid positions are available in amusement parks, food and beverage retail concessions, retail stores/shops in tourist towns, hotels, ski resorts, national parks and many others. Types of jobs include but are not limited to: Ski Lift operator, Hotel desk clerks, Lifeguards, Park services, Cooks, Dining room attendants, Game attendants, Fast food workers, etc.

Location
Positions are available throughout the USA.

Length of the program
The J-1 Work and Travel USA program is for a maximum of 4 months and must take place during Your Summer Season and University vacations.

What you get:

An hourly wage of at least $7 an hour
Paperwork coordination: J-1 Visa documentation. Through our partners InterExchange who is a designated "Sponsor" by the U.S. Department of State for the Work and Travel USA program

Detailed participant handbook that contains all information relative to the program

About Inter Exchange
InterExchange is a private, non profit organization dedicated to promoting international understanding through cross- cultural educational and work/ travel opportunities. Since its creation in 1970, thousands of young people have benefited from InterExchange programs worldwide.

InterExchange is designated by the U.S. Federal government to sponsor these programs allowing participants to enter the United States of America under the J-1 visa. This visa category was established through the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961. Its purpose is to promote mutual understanding between the American people and people from around the world through educational and cultural opportunities.
